URBAN YOGA IN BERLIN – 12 BEAUTIFUL YOGA STUDIOS IN THE GERMAN CAPITAL

Yoga in Berlin! Are you visiting the German capital and looking for an extraordinary yoga course or a beautiful yoga studio in Berlin? I'll show you where to find them!
You are so wonderful, Berlin!” Oh yes, the famous German beer commercial is definitely right as the capital is always worth a visit – for a stroll along the Spree or the flea markets at Mauerpark or Boxi, for a cup of tea or coffee in my favorite café KRONE or for visiting the many wonderful bookshops in my old area Prenzlauer Berg.
However, taking a stroll through bustling Berlin is not always easy and can actually be really exhausting – especially for us highly sensitive souls. Therefore, being able to relax after a strenuous day in one of the many and wonderfully diverse yoga studios in Berlin is invaluable.
And that can be done on almost every corner in lovingly crazy Berlin, because as a yogini in the capital you are really spoiled for choice: whether for Vinyasa Yoga in Friedrichshain or Jivamukti Yoga in Kreuzberg, whether for Yin Yoga in Prenzlauer Berg or Ashtanga Flow in Steglitz, whether for Power Yoga in Schöneberg or for a relaxing moon sequence in Pankow – the wonderfully colorful mix of yoga styles and yoga studios is almost nowhere as big as in Berlin.
And by the way: Many yoga studios in Berlin offer a diverse program of yoga courses during the pandemic - with online yoga!
Yoga in Berlin: The 12 best Yoga studios in Berlin – online and offline
1. Every damn day Yoga

The beautiful bright yoga studio Every Damn Day Yoga is located south of Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain – I was particularly enthusiastic about Greg's combined yoga and HIIT course as I love the mix of gentle yoga flows and a sweaty power workout! I also really like that the international team not only offers a mixture of German and English-speaking yoga classes, but above all a colorful and incredibly large range of different styles - from Vinyasa Flow to Ashtanga and Aerial to Yin & Yang, HIIT, Restorative Classes or Pop Pilates. Every Yogi is sure to find the right course here, but the best part about this particular venue is all the classes are usually never crowded or busy, due to the relatively small rooms used.

The classes can be chosen depending on the personal level and can be perfect for absolute beginners, for new yogis with some experience or for advanced professionals. The Morning Glory classes are especially nice for all early birds (like me!) and offers lots of sun salutations and an hour-long all-over practice to help you get the day off to a perfect high-energy start.

The approach behind this yoga studio follows a holistic way of teaching, that is, not only the physical aspects of yoga teaching are included, but also the philosophical background - whether in the lessons themselves or in the numerous workshops and events you can access. Most classes follow the Vinyasa Flow style, but in addition, Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga courses are also offered – wonderful during a break in the (home)office! Or how about Yoga at lunchtime, which is a great opportunity to get up from your desk in between tasks and unwind?

In the large course room, there is an ultra-relaxed atmosphere, the groups are small and the teachers informal and humorous – and are fortunate to be able to teach far away from all external stress-making pressures. Speaking of which: The W60 has a particularly large focus on mindfulness and stress management, which is approached not only with yoga but also with various meditation classes or with the help of Feldenkrais - a method in which movements are made with the help of the smallest of fine touches. If you choose Hatha, Ashtanga or Vinyasa Flow classes, these are all held in a room that is heated up to a temperature of 35-40 degrees. Depending on the individual level and physical conditions, the dynamics are sometimes lower, sometimes higher – and although they are certainly exhausting, they are all ultra-effective.
